How We Price Our Rings
Transparent Pricing, Real Savings
Every ring on Vow is pre-owned, GIA certified, and sourced from verified US sellers — all backed by eBay Authenticity Guarantee and 30-day returns. Our prices reflect exactly what you pay to own a genuine certified diamond ring. No storefront markup, no sales commission.
What Is the "Compare At" Price?
The Compare At price shown on each listing represents what an equivalent new ring would cost at a traditional jewelry store — think Kay Jewelers, Zales, or a local fine jeweler.
We calculate it using Diamond Registry, a Rapaport-derived industry price guide used by diamond professionals. Diamond Registry publishes price-per-carat benchmarks for every combination of carat weight, color grade, clarity grade, and shape. We apply a standard retail markup to convert those dealer-level prices into what a brick-and-mortar store would charge for the same stone in a new setting.
What This Means for You
The difference between our price and the Compare At price is your real saving — the benefit of buying pre-owned from a verified seller rather than new from a retail store. The diamond is identical. The GIA certificate is identical. The only difference is that someone else bought it first.
GIA Certification
Every ring we list comes with the physical GIA grading report — not a photocopy or digital scan. GIA (Gemological Institute of America) is the most trusted diamond grading authority in the world. Their reports confirm the exact carat, color, clarity, and cut of every stone.
